    Description

    My name is Kate
. I am helping my dad sell his huge, 45+ year personal collection of original (including some NOS), C1, C2, and C3 Corvette parts. He has a 19 year Ebay history of 100% positive feedback for buying and selling and we intend to maintain that rating. We are trying our best to accurately describe the item. If our description leaves you with questions, please ask for further information/clarification before bidding/buying. The item shown in the photos is the item you will receive. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.
    Product Description:
An original radiator Expansion Tank 100% correct for a 1972 Corvette with a 454 engine and Air Conditioning, including the mounting brackets.  Would also fit a 1968 - 1969 427 and a 1970 - 71 Corvette with a 454 and A/C.  The I.D. plate attached to the tank shows the part number 3019249 and the manufacturing date code of 72E.  We assume that date code translates to May 1972 thus most correct for the 1972 model year.  The tanks and brackets are identical for the 1968 through 1972 model years.  Other than needing a good cleaning and painting, everything appears to be in excellent shape.  The brackets have surface rust but should clean up just fine.  All of the inlet and outlet nipples are there, original, never repaired, and shouldn't need repair.  These thin brass tanks are easily dented but this one has no dents.  Bare tank reproductions of some sort are being offered without the brackets and without the ID tag with a date code.  Have no idea how close to original the copies are but they surely will not pass NCRS judging.  And if you need the mounting brackets, good luck.  This unit has not been pressure tested but there is no reason it would not pass a test without any repair.  We do not have the cap.
Note:  Do not confuse this one with an earlier one we sold for this same price and a 1971 one that we currently have listed for much less.
    Shipping:
We will securely box the item ourselves with no charge for the packaging materials or our time (no handling charges). We prefer to use the USPO or UPS but if you require other methods, we can most likely accommodate you. If our listing shows "free shipping" or a "fixed shipping charge", that is for shipping to the continental USA states. If that does not apply to you, then please contact us for the shipping charge. In all cases, you will never be charged more than the actual carrier shipping/insurance cost. And we will ship as timely as reasonable, knowing that we do travel and are out of town some. In some cases, we would like to require a signature at destination point.  Of course this can be picked up in Springfield, Nebraska (near Omaha).
