We are pleased to offer for sale an extremely hard to find Indiana Old English Threading pitcher and lid.  This pitcher and lid are in
Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.
Pitchers with lids are extremely hard to find. This one is fantastic.  The lid, as you can see in the picture, is a different shade from pitcher body, but it matches the thick rings near the base of the jug.  This striking set does have some minor shear marks. We have checked all of the ribs and have found them to be without damage and the final on the pitcher is pristine as well.  The jug is nice and clear without residue or wear.

Old English later dubbed "Old English Threading" by collectors is a st
ylized pattern made by the Indiana Glass Company in the late 1920s.  The pattern is fairly elusive but it is well
worth the hunt.  Many of the pieces (like other Indiana patterns) seem over sized in comparison to many other patterns from this time period.  The large size and stylized look is what set Indiana's Depression Glass apart from most of the Depression Glass made
during this time period.
Many of these patterns such as Tea Room,
Pyramid, and of course Old
English Threading are considered Deco today.  Old English Threading was made to be used as a kitchen or accessory set to accompany your other dishes.  Candies, compotes, candlesticks, vases, bowls, pitchers and tumblers, sugars and creamers, sherbet dishes, and serving trays were made but there are no accompanying dinnerware pieces (plates, cups and saucers, etc.).
